Teaching and Scholarly Interests
Professor Stamant's teaching and research interests include 19th and 20th-century American literature, Southern literature, Modernism, media, political violence, and the history of the book. His book about the relationship between media and authorship, Competing Stories, was published in 2019. In addition to teaching literature and writing, he co-teaches the Book History Workshop every summer, a class at Texas A&M University about the hand-press period of bookmaking.
